Biography
Johannes Pedersen, was baptised on 29 Sep 1769, the son of Peder Johannesen Løding.[1] Bodin Bygdebok records him as Johannes Persson Falck. After 7 years at Valle Johannes moved with his wife to Vokkøya, Helligvær, where they took over a share in 1813.
Married on 20 Oct 1802 to Anne Bergithe Johannesdatter.[2] Children:
- Abelona Kirstina (bap. 17 Jun 1804, d. 13 May 1889)[3], unmarried.
- Peder Andreas (bap. 19 Oct 1806)[4] m. to Martha Maria Jensdatter
- Hans Mejer (bap. 11 Aug 1811)[5], to Myklebostad
Johannes died at Vokkøya, Væran, abt. 1816.
Notes
The spelling of Johannes' name varies in the records as either Peersen, Persen or Pedersen.
At baptism, he is recorded as Johannes, son of Peder Johannesen, Løding. He was baptised on Michaelsmass (Sep 29, 1769), which is the date given as birth above.
In the church records, parents of Peder Andreas is registered as Johannes Pedersen, Valle and Anne Johannesdtr, on 19/10-1806, while at the marriage they are registered as Johannes Persen, Løding and Ana Birgitha Johannesdatter, Soløen on 20/10-1802. At the baptism of their first child, Abolona Kirstina, Johannes and Anne are still living at Øvre Løding.
At the cencus of 1801, Johannes Peerssen is listed as 31 years old and unmarried, working as the schoolmaster at Løding Øvre farmstead. He is then living with his parents and brother, Hans Mejer Peersen.[6]
Note that there is another Johannes Peersen Walle, married to Ølegaard Jensdatter, with children Daniel (bap. 19 Jan 1784, d. 23 Aug 1807) and Johan (bap. 15 Aug 1802, d. 18 Aug 1805), among many others...
