Hilda Bertha was born on the 1st November[1] 1889 at Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, England[2] and baptised on the 1st December 1889 at St. Thomas, Penkhull, Staffordshire, England, the daughter of Henry Pedley (potter) and Emma Jane Pedley of 3 Old Coach Road[3] [4]
Hilda Bertha married Benjamin Hollins in 1908 in Staffordshire[5]
Hilda's first husband Benjamin died from wounds received in action on the 12th November 1915[6].
In 1919, Hilda married William J. Hinkley[7]
In 1935, Hilda was living at 56 Percy Road, Ramsgate, Kent, England*. Her husband was a repairer working at the Chislet Colliery[8].
In 1939, Hilda was living at 83 South Eastern Road, Ramsgate, Kent, England, with her second husband William Hinkley (b. 15th April 1900) and daughter Grace Hinkley (amended to Foord, b. 1st July 1920) and one person redacted[1].
Hilda died aged 68 years on the 21st February 1958 at 9 Gordon Road, Ramsgate, Kent, England[9]

In the 1939 register Hilda gave the correct day/month of birth of 1st November but had the year recorded as 1895, making herself 6 years younger, probably as her 2nd husband William was so much younger than Hilda, having been born in 1900 and being nearly 11 years younger than Hilda.
