DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:

Wow, thank you for that info. This is why it is so hard to trace this family line, probably why the Phillips line is such a challenge also. Do you know about when they c me from Scotland ? Thanks!
If you see the name Peoples it is a family really supposed to be Peebles. It is a family that came into North Carolina and allowed their name to be recorded incorrectly. From what I know the Peebles came from Peebleshire scottland. This is the first Peebles I've seen while doing research although I've heard of a famous Peebles once.
