Gladys Peel was born in Yorkshire, England.

Gladys was born in Nelson, Lancashire, England, on September 5, 1894. Her parents were Walker Peel, and Mary Elliott. She was baptized on October 18, 1894 at Saint John The Evangelist Parish in Great Marsden, Lancashire. She never married, and appears to have spent her entire life in Lancashire. She passed away in 1983 at age eighty nine.
