Research

I believe that I am a descendant of this John Peel and his wife, Mary Ann "Polly" Elms, and I have DNA matches to both the Peel and Elms branches. I have a tree on Ancestry.com: http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/39417448/family?fpid=19366729369 Also, I have DNA results on Ancestry, 23andMe, and GEDmatch.com. My G-grandfather, John Drew Peel, would be a grandson of this John Peel. We didn't end up with solid family memory, because John Peel died when John Drew Peel was young and John Drew Peel died when my grandfather (Oscar Allen Peel) was young. Nevertheless, we've been able to piece the story together with census and other records. Regards, Scott Lee Johnston
