Biography
Mary A Peeler was enumerated as daughter at Galley Rock, Yell County, Arkansas for the June 4, United States Census, 1880. She was noted as born 1871 in Arkansas and single as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are self Nancy Peeler, son Henry Peeler and daughter Nellie Peeler.[1]
Mollie Spain was enumerated as wife of the head of household in Galley Rock Township, Yell County, Arkansas for the June 4, United States Census, 1900. She was noted as born November 1870 in Arkansas and had been married for eleven years. She was the mother of four children of which two were still living. Also included in the household are head Robert L Spain, daughter Daphin Spain and daughter Marlin Spain as seen in an image of the original census.[2]
Mary Spane was enumerated as wife of the head of household at Staly's Ferry Road, Galla Rock, Yell County, Arkansas for the May 2, United States Census, 1910. She was noted as born 1871 in Arkansas and had been married twenty years. She was the mother of eight children of which six were still living as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Fate Spane, daughter Marlin Spane, son James Spane, daughter Nell Spane, daughter Allie Spane, daughter Veva Spane and mother-in-law Jennie Tolue.[3]
Mollie Spain was enumerated as wife of the head of household at Galla Rock, Yell County, Arkansas for the January 29, United States Census, 1920. She was noted as born 1871 in Arkansas and married as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Robert Spain, daughter Alley Spain and daughter Veva Spain.[4]

Mary Adilaide Peeler was listed as the mother of James C Spain who died April 21, 1958 in San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas. The father was listed as Robert Lafayette Spain.[5]
Mary Adelaide Peeler Spain is buried at Petillo Hill Cemetery in Centerville, Yell County, Arkansas.[6]
