Biography

Elizabeth Peeler was born October 2, 1886 in Humphrey, Tennessee to father Eli E. Peeler of Humphrey, Tennessee and mother Nellie James of Humphrey, Tennessee.[1]

Lizzie Peeles was enumerated as stepdauter of the head of household in Civil Districts 9, 14, Humphreys County, Tennessee for the June 15, United States Census, 1900. She was noted as at school, born October 1886 in Tennessee and single as seen in an image of the original census. Also included in the household are head John M Smith, wife Nellie Smith, daughter Lena Smith, daughter Bertie Smith, daughter Tommie Smith, son John Smith, cousin Rhoda Perry, stepson Barnett Peeles, stepson Herbert Peeles and stepson James Peeles.[2]

Lizzie Peeler wed Pleas Dunagan April 7, 1902 in Humphreys County, Tennessee.[3]

Matilda E Dunagan was enumerated as wife of the head of household in Tumbling Creek Road, Civil District 9, Humphreys County, Tennessee for the April 25, United States Census, 1910. She was noted as born 1887 in Tennessee and had been married eight years. She was the mother of three children of which all were still living as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Pleas J Dunagan, daughter Carmin E Dunagan, daughter Gladys Dunagan and son Clarence N Dunagan.[4]

Matilda E Dunagan was enumerated as head of the household in Civil District 3, Humphreys County, Tennessee for the United States Census, 1920. She is noted as being born in Tennessee in 1886. She was divorced and an owner. Also included in the household are daughter Gladys Dunagan, son Clarence N Dunagan, daughter Jewel S Dunagan, son Ray M Dunagan and daughter Mildred E Dunagan.[5]

On April 1, 1935, Lizzie Donegan lived in Dickson County, Tennessee.[6]

Lizzie Donegan was enumerated as mother of the head of household at 404 West College Street, Dickson, Dickson County, Tennessee for the April 10, United States Census, 1940. She was noted as born 1886 in Tennessee and widowed as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Clarence Donegan, wife Frankie Donegan and son Jerry Donegan.[6]

Elizabeth Peeler Dunagan died October 4, 1940 in Dickson, Dickson County, Tennessee. She was divorced. Her husband was listed as Pleas Dunagan. She was a housewife and lived at 404 College Street in Dickson, Dickson County, Tennessee. She was buried at Bold Springs, Tennessee.[1]

Matilda Elizabeth Peeler Dunagan is buried at James Cemetery in Humphreys County, Tennessee, USA.[7]
