No record of a marriage to Rachel Holton has been located. His wife's name is given as Frances for his Patriotic Service during the American Revolution.[3]

Nathan Peeples is listed in the Woodson Heard Bible, owner: Mrs. Fannie Weathers. His death is given as 1 Oct 1797 at age 41 years. Frances Peeples' death is given as 21 Jan 1799 at age 49 years; Leenah Peeples death is given as 25 July 1799 at age 14; Elizabeth Peeples died 25 July 1806; David Peeples, Jr's death was given as 25 Sep 1807 at age 20 years.

The Bible also lists children of Woodson Heard who was born 4 Mar 1782 and died Jan 1829 at age 66 yrs, 10 mos, 10 days and his wife Mary who died ca 1865 at age 42 yrs, 22? mos, and 5 days. Those with a given name of Peeples were: Marshal Peeples Heard whose death date given as 17 Jan 1806 at age 9 wks, 1 day; and Gustavus Peeples who death date is given as 23 Nov 1834 and died at age 20.[4]

The name is Nathaniel and the surname is spelled Peebles. Father's name is David Peebles. Birth date is 1756. Iirc Nathaniel's mother is not a Cook. If these corrections can be made, will approve the merge.

Peebles-1857 and Peeples-68 appear to represent the same person because: they share similar vital statistics (the exact same death date), the same father David, the same sister Mary and the same daughter Nancy. The difference in spelling of surnames needs to be rectified.
