Biography

Evans was born in 1788. He was the son of William Peery and Sarah Evans. Married Elizabeth Neill Mar 18, 1821 in Tazewell Co, VA. They are both buried in Evans Peery Cemetery, Grundy co, MO. (entered by Gary Peery, July 22, 2014)

Evans Peery moved with his brother Robert to Grundy County Missouri in the fall of 1839. Evans and Elizabeth had three children in Virginia before moving to Missouri. Many Peery family members along with members of the Wynne family moved to Grundy from Tazewell at the same time and lived in the same neighborhood together. Some may have gone on further a few years later to Utah and/or California.
