Milton Stratton Peery was born in Kentucky about 1832.[1][2][3]He lived with his family in Tazewell County, VA.[4]
He moved with his family to Daviess county Missouri, where they were first found in the public records in 1842.[5] Milton's older brother Hiram Wilson Peery Jr, was married in Daviess County on 30 Aug 1844. Milton's father Hiram Wilson Peery Sr., died 20 Aug 1845 in Daviess County, Missouri USA. In 1850 Milton was enumerated in the census living in Daviess county with his mother, Ruth Peery, who is identified as Widowed.

Milton married Frances Adela Faulkner in about 1858. They moved to Peru Nebraska in 1859. Their first known child was born 1859 in Nebraska Territory. [7] Per 1860 US Federal Census, they were living in Nemaha County, Nebraska Territory.[8][9]
In 1863 he registered for the Civil War draft.[10]
Jan 1867 Milton S Peery joined the Nemaha Valley Masonic Lodge #4, Brownville, NE. 1 Jun 1867, Milton S Peery, member id 120670, demitted from Brownville Lodge #4. 19 Jun 1867 Milton S Peery affiliated with Peru Chapter #14. . Per Peru Masonic record. 19 Aug 1870 he was living in Township 3 Range 15, Richardson, Nebraska, USA, per 1870 US Non population agriculture census. [11]
Milton S Peery, 40, passed away 23 Jul 1872 in Nemaha County NE, per his obituary published in the Nebraska Advertiser. [12]
