I have been working on my tree extensively for the past 5 years now, although I started it about 15years ago for a college project, and laid it aside. Family genealogy has become an addictive hobby. The more I learn about y roots, the more I want to learn. My mother was of English, Irish and Dutch, ancestors. My Father was Italian English, and Irish. I had my DNA tested through Ancestry DNA and has matched 2nd cousins 1x removed on both my maternal and paternal lines. I also matched my father's brother. This is my ancestry ethnic breakdown from ancestry.
Ethnicity Estimate Europe West 42% Europe West Primarily located in: Belgium, France, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein Your DNA shows that you have ancestry from Europe West and links you to these specific regions: New York Settlers Northeastern States Settlers Europe South 20% -Southern Italy
Ireland/Scotland/Wales 12% European Jewish 9% Great Britain 5%
Have you taken a DNA test for genealogy? If so, login to add it. If not, see our friends at Ancestry DNA.

It's not hard to add DNA test information to profiles on WikiTree, just make sure you add the tests to the actual test participant's profile & set the Privacy to ‘Private w/ Public Biography & Family Tree’ to show the tester's part of our tree. For help see How to DNA on WikiTree
Here's a great YouTube video with all sorts of questions answered Getting Started with DNA.

You can mark your relationship to your father 'confirmed with DNA'. Add the statement that's on your uncle Frank Peet's profile right now to your own biography.

I would suggest that you select a Gateway Ancestor who is documented by Richardson. Check the "ready to go" table at Base Camp to find one you'd like to be Guardian for. You could also pick a Gateway Ancestor from the table at Category:Gateway Ancestors. We've had a few "popular" Gateways (who now have more than one Guardian), so you might want to check Space:Trail Tracks to see if someone has already selected him/her before deciding.

Welcome to the Magna Carta Project. We look forward to working with you to improve the profiles of our Gateway Ancestors and the documented lineages that connect them to one or more of the 17 Magna Carta Barons who have living descendants today.

Give me or David a holler if you have any questions, or you can post in G2G (Magna_Carta) or to the Google Group (that group is tied to WikiTree-36, the project account). When you send a request to join the Google Group, please include your WikiTree ID (I don't always recognize a person by their e-mail address).

Thanks for your interest in the Magna Carta Project and for your offer of help. The Magna Carta Project exists to categorize and improve profiles of the twenty-five medieval barons who were surety for Magna Carta; about two hundred proven American colonial Gateway Ancestors who were their descendants; and the documented lineages that connect them. We documented and improved over seventy lineages, and hundreds of profiles on these Magna Carta Trails prior to the 800th anniversary celebration of Magna Carta in June 2015. Although the celebration is over, we continue working on the remaining Trails.
