Where as Caleb Peirce (son of Caleb Peirce and Mary his wife) (decd) of Concord in the county of Chester and province of Pennsylvania, and Ann Mendenhall, (daughter of Robert Mendenhall and Phebe his wife, of the same place, have declared their intention of marriage with each other before several monthly meetings of the people called Quakers at Concord according to the good orders used amongst them, they appearing clear of all others, and having consents of parents and relations concerned, their proposals of marriage was allowed of by the said meeting.
Now these are to certify whom it may concern that of the full accomplishing of their said intentions the first day of the fifth month in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and fifty four...... [1]
