James Peirce was baptised on 03 Oct 1677 at Corsham, Wiltshire, son of James and Mary.[1]
In the will of his Aunt, Christian Handcock, spinster of Corsham, the will made on 17 Mar 1684/1685, the Testatrix made a bequest to her three kinsmen, James Peirce, John Peirce and Thomas Peirce, sons of James Peirce and Mary his wife.[2]
In the will of his grandmother Christian Handcock, widow of Corsham, the will made on 19 May 1686, the Testatrix made a bequest to her daughter Mary Peirce, wife of James Peirce, and to her three grandchildren James Peirce, John Peirce and Thomas Peirce.[3]
James was a beneficiary of the will of his father James 'Pearce', a Clothier of Corsham, Wiltshire, the will made on 08 Sep 1684, with a Codicil of 11 Jan 1687/1688, and proved on 08 Jun 1688.[4]
