Gergoire was born in 1724. Gregoire's father Bernard Pellerin ... Gregoire's mother Marguerite Gaudet ... He passed away in 1776.

....Jacques Joseph Sorrel became closely associated with Gregoire Pellerin, another rancher and farmer who had come to Louisiana from Acadia(Canada). Gregoire's plantation adjoined Sorrel's, and when Gregoire died in 1776, Jacques Joseph - a bachelor - became a trusted counselor to his former partner's widow, Cecile Prejean Pellerin, and a surrogate father and mentor to her four young children, Eugenia, Emelie, Frederick, and Marie Josephe. ....

Conrad p. 46: 23:129 Petition of Cécile Prejean, Wid/o Gregoire Pellerin, being of advanced age (76) & the last of her children now married, determined to partition her lands among her 4 children: Frédéric; Émilie; Marie Josephe & Eugène (sic). The lands measured 45 arpents wide by 40 arpents deep, bounded above by J. Sorrel & below by her son Frédéric.

1) Marie Josephe, with consent of husband Alexandre Frere, accepted 7 arpents;

2) Eugène(ie) Pellerin accepted 14 arpents wide, bounded below by (1);

3) Sorrel accepted for the minor (sic) Emilie, wife of Pierre Sigur, 14 arpents, bounded below by (2):

4) Frédéric Pellerin accepted 10 arpents, on both banks of the Teche, above (3).
