Born in Norfolk Naval Hospital. Spent the next 13 years as a navy brat living in Virginia, Tennessee, California, and Florida. High school in Virginia Beach. Met my husband James Taylor Ritch Jr. while attending Old Dominion College in Norfolk, Virginia. After Jim's stint in the Marine Corps we settled in North Carolina and raised two daughters. I was widowed in 2002 and continue to live in the Wilmington, NC area.
