On 30 March 1851, 57 year old tin miner James Penberthy, his wife Amelia (50), and three children, Elizabeth (23), Thomasine (18) and Susanna (8) were living at The Stennack, St Ives, Cornwall, England. [1]
On 7 April 1861, 67 year old James Penberthy and his 63 year old wife Amelia, together with their daughters, Thomasine Rowe (26) and Susannah Penberthy (17), and grandchildren, John Penberthy (9), Benjamin Penberthy (5) and Charles Rowe (2 months), were living at Virgin Street, St Ives, Cornwall, England. On 2nd April 1871, 31 year old fisherman Charles Rowe, his 37 year old wife Thomasine P., their three sons, John A. Rowe (19- fisherman), Charles (3) and William (3 months), 77 year old retired miner, father in law James Penberthy and 22 year old labourer Thomas T Rowe, are living at Virgin Street, St Ives, Cornwall, England.
