Biography

Obedience Nancy "Biddy" (Pendergraft) Ethridge Jackson was born on April 19, 1818, in Burke, North Carolina. Her father, Moses Pendergraft, was 24, and her mother, Margaret Mashburn, was 24.

She married Nathan H Etheridge on August 6, 1840, in Barry, Missouri. There were 7 children from this union. Mary M (Etheridge) Thompson (1841-1925), Margaret Lucinda (Etheridge) Lea (1844-?), James Monroe Etheridge (1845-1918), Dillard Perry Etheridge (1848-1874), Missouri Ann (Etheridge) Dyer (1850-1935), Louisa Armeda "Lucy" (Etheridge) Long (1852-1928), and Nancy Etheridge (1859-?).

She then married Hugh Lawson Jackson on October 10, 1876, in Barry, Missouri. There were not children from this union.

She died sometime on 21 June 1880 in Jacksonville, Morgan County, Illinois.
