Terry , I'd suggest creating different tags for each of the names in your "SURNAME" tag. If you have separate tags, you'll be able to click on them to see a lot of information about the surname including all of the profiles with that name. With the surnames combined, that won't be possible.

You'll also get notifications in your daily & weekly emails when there is activity relevant to your tag.

You can read more about Tags on the related help page here: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Tags

A fast way to get to your Tags is with this link: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:Following

Please let me know if you have any questions!

Hi Terry,

I wanted to suggest that you edit your tag(s) to show any surnames you are researching. Each surname should be in a single tag and with no tag named surname. When you list a surname, location or historical event in your tags, you can then click them and see a list of other WikiTree genealogists who are also researching those names, locations, etc.

You'll also get notifications in your daily & weekly emails when there is activity relevant to your tags.

Information on Tags can be found at http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Tags

This Link will auto-populate your tag page. http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:Following

Your welcome to click my name above this comment to see how tags and tag comments are used.

Please let me know if you have any questions! :-)

Hi Terry,

Welcome to WikiTree! The email we just sent has helpful links to get you started.

WikiTree is different than other genealogy websites because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we share ancestors and work together as a BIG collaborative team!

What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research you’d like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree?

When you confirm your email address, you’ll be given an opportunity to volunteer to help document our collective family history. Use the Tags and comments to tell us about your genealogical interests.

When you volunteer, one of our Greeters will confirm your membership. Then you'll be able to add your family to the tree!

We’re really glad you’re here.
