Mother: FMT Barbeau born in MI. 2 Marquette [MI] Mining Journal November 14, 1932. 2 LAST RITES TODAY FOR JAMES PENDILL. 2 Pioneer Resident of Marquette Dies of Heart Attack Saturday. 2 James, Pendill, 74 years old and a lifelong resident of Marquette, dropped dead at the corner of Bluff and Third streets about 11 o'clock Saturday morning as he was returning to his home. Stricken by a heart attack, he died before a physician could be reached. Mr. Pendill, son of James P. Pendill, was born here December 17, 1858, and had always made Marquette his home. He leaves two sons, Claudius G., of Newburyport, Mass., and A. Felch, of River Forest, Ill.; Caroline Pendill, daughter of his son, Arthur L. and six other grandchildren; a brother, Louis, and a sister, Olive. Funeral services will be held in the home of Louis Pendill, 322 East Ridge street, at 2 o'clock this afternoon with the Rev. Herbert J. Bryce, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, officiating.
