Biography
When Jessie Pendley was born on December 10, 1895, in Alabama, her father, Emmett, was 24, and her mother, Melenda, was 23. She married Luther Powell Dodd on September 12, 1920, in Winston, Alabama. They had eight children in 14 years. She died on February 15, 1991, in Lynn, Alabama, at the age of 95, and was buried there.
