Biography

Dorothy Julia Pennebaker was born on January 20, 1897, in Grand Isle, Hall County, Nebraska. Her father and mother were William Johnson Pennebaker and Elizabeth Grace Gahan. She had one sister from her mother's second marriage to Frank Henry Myers.

Dorothy worked as an actress and theater administrator in local stage productions.

On June 22,1918, she married Marlon Brando Sr. in Pierce County, Washington.[1] The three children from this union were Jocelyn Brando, Frances Brando, and Marlon Brando Jr.[2]

Dorothy Pennebaker Brando died at the age of fifity-seven years on March 31, 1954, in Pasadena, California.[3][4]
