I have many public records for Catherine (Pennington) Bennett including deeds and a picture of her tombstone and I have never seen the name Rachel on any of the records. A friend of mine, descendant of Catherine was told by her mother or other relative that her grandmother Rachel, and someone else in family had babies born the same year. I think this might be mixed up with Catherine's daughter-in-law named Rachel (Brummett) Bennett, wife of William B. Bennett. Does anyone have verification on this Rachel Catherine (Pennington) Bennett?
