Louisa Matilda Pennington was born in Jun or Jul 1838 in Muncaster, Cumberland and baptised there on 17 Jul 1838[1][2] - although because of her nobility, the birth was actually registered at St. George, Hannover Square, London. She was the daughter of Lowther Augustus John Pennington and Frances Catherine Ramsden.[3]
On 25 Nov 1858, Louisa married Edgar Atheling Drummond, son of a banker, at St. James Church, Piccadilly, London.[4][5][6] The couple were obviously well-connected socially throughout their lives, as is shown by their presence as guests at Belvoir Castle in 1861.
1881 Census [7] Louisa died on 17 Jun 1886 at the relatively young age of 48.[8][9]
