Biography

Louisa Matilda Pennington was born in Jun or Jul 1838 in Muncaster, Cumberland and baptised there on 17 Jul 1838^[1][2] - although because of her nobility, the birth was actually registered at St. George, Hannover Square, London. She was the daughter of Lowther Augustus John Pennington and Frances Catherine Ramsden.^[3]

On 25 Nov 1858, Louisa married Edgar Atheling Drummond, son of a banker, at St. James Church, Piccadilly, London.^{[4] [5] [6]} The couple were obviously well-connected socially throughout their lives, as is shown by their presence as guests at Belvoir Castle in 1861.

1881 Census ^[7] Louisa died on 17 Jun 1886 at the relatively young age of 48.^[8][9]
