Biography
Son of Joseph Pennock and Margaret Seeley.
“Family lore” says Joseph was a pharmacist who gave a customer the wrong prescription and died so he took his mother’s maiden name and fled town, moving to New York where he lived until he died. Joseph later discovered that the woman had died before taking the prescription.
Joseph married Chloe Castle (b. about 1763) in Woodbury, CT about 1783.
