He married Lucy Benton Vauchelet on 10 December 1901 in Alvin, Brazoria County, Texas, in a ceremony performed by J. M. Kailin, Baptist Minister.[2]
Oliver died on 29 December 1961 in Beaumont, Texas,[3] and he is buried there in Magnolia Cemetery.[4]
