Biography

Christopher was born in August 1846, likely in Wetwang, Yorkshire, England, the son of Edward TINDALL and Rachel PENNOCK.[1] He was baptised on 30 August 1846 in the parish church in Wetwang.[2]

In 1851, he was boarding with a William and Amelia EZARD, in a back street of Wetwang.[3]

He departed Liverpool on 23 May 1854 on board the Ocean Chief, aged 7 years, with his mother Rachel (aged 30) and uncle Thomas (aged 21). He arrived in Melbourne Victoria on 7 August 1854.[4]

Thomas died on 27 April 1870, in Pine Forest, near Langhorne Creek, South Australia.[5]
