James Pent is part of a Bahamian family.

Biography

The 1840 Dade County Census of the Florida Territory introduces us to James Pent b. 1810- 1820. He was married to a woman who was b. 1810- 1820. They had one son b. 1835- 1840 and two daughters also 1810- 1820.

The Pents lived inbetween Geo. Johnson and John Skelton whose descendants their children and grandchildren will eventually marry. He seemed to live 20 houses away from John and Temple Pent who may have been his relatives but neither James nor his descendants sem to have ad much to do with the other Pents.

The Key West Census of 1850 is formatted to reveal more information, it brings us James Pent, 45, white, b. 1805, Bahamas and his spouse Sarah Pent,43, white b. 1807 Georgia. Their son James has survived but their two daughters are absent.

In 1860, the family of 3 lived in Key West.

Find a Grave informs us that James Edward Anthony Pent (b. 23 Mar 1810 Bahamas, d.19 May 1864 Key West, Monroe County, Florida, USA) was married, in Indian Key, to Sarah A. Russell, b. Georgia on October 17, 1833 . Sarah was no longer present after the 1870 census of Key West.
