In 1934 Harry married, Annie Alice Noble, at All Saints Church in Battersea Park, Battersea, London, England[5][6][7]. Harry was working as a Motor Van Guard for Southern Railway but was transferred to Brookwood Station as a Railway Goods Porter. They were living at 245 Connaught Road, Brookwood, Surrey and had 2 children while but the first born, David, was Stillborn
Before the start of WW2 Harry and his family moved to Woking in Surrey although he still worked as a Railway Goods Porter at Brookwood Station. The 1939 England and Wales Register, enumerated September 29, shows Harry living at 12 Canal Cottages, Boundary Lane, Woking with his wife and son.[10]

During the war Harry and Annie had a second child, a daughter, who they named Pamela Anne (b.1941)[11] and then they moved to Feltham, Middlesex as Harry was promoted to Station Foreman at Waterloo Station in London prior to the birth of their third child Phillip Charles (b. 1952)[12]

Military
As he worked in a restricted occupation during WW2 Harry enlisted for duty in the Home Guard (3rd Southern Railway) initially while living in Brookwood. He was later transferred to Feltham when the family moved to the railway estate in Waterloo Crescent/Southern Avenue, Bedfont Lane, Feltham, Middlesex.[13]
Death
Harry passed away in 1990 in Princess Alice Hospice in Esher, Surrey, England[3][14]. His cremation was held on April 12, 1990 at South West Middlesex Crematorium in Hanworth, Middlesex, England.[15].
