Biography

Jerusha Pierce was born February 13, 1681 in Scituate, Plymouth, Massachusetts, the daughter of Benjamin Pierce and Martha Adams (Possibly a descendant of John Adams, who came to Plymouth in the Fortune in 1621.) [1] [2]

Jerusha married Joseph Bailey (1679 - 1747) about 1703. (Bailey family surname may include the following variations: Bailey, Baily, Bailie, Balie, Bayley, Baylie). Children were:

  • Joseph Bailey (1704 – 1782)
  • Martha Bailey (b. abt. 1707) [3]
  • Ruth (Bailey) Edson (1709 - 1743)[4]
  • Benjamin Bailey (b. abt. 1712)[5]
  • Ebenezer Bailey (1714 - 1772)[6]
  • Seth Bailey (1717 - 1746)[7]
  • Caleb Bailey (1720 - 1738)[8]
  • Adams Bailey (1722 - 1798)[9]
  • Jerusha Bailey (b. 1725)
  • Joshua Bailey (1727 - 1727)[10]

Jerushah (Pierce) Bailey died April 6, 1758 and was buried at the Old Graveyard in West Bridgewater, Plymouth County, Massachusetts, she was 77 years old. [11]
