James Percival, son of James Percival and Mary (Rainsford) Percival, was born at Sandwich, Plymouth Colony on January 18, 1671/2.[1][2]

James married Abigail Robinson. Several sources say that they were married at Sandwich on February 18, 1695/6;[3][2][1] however, the marriage was recorded in Falmouth town records as having occurred on February 27, 1696/7.[4]

James and Abigail had the following children:

  2. Mary, b. September 16, 1701 at Falmouth[4][6] or 1702 at Saconessett[1]

  5. Timothy, b. October 2, 1712 at East Haddam, Connecticut Colony[1]

James and his family moved from Falmouth to East Haddam about 1705-6. There is a record of a "James Pasival of Falmoth" buying land in East Haddam on June 19, 1705[9] and Abigain Parsivel ye wife of Jeames parsiveal being admitted to the First Church in East Haddam on February 2, 1706/7.[7]

James died on May 19, 1738 at East Haddam, Connecticut.[2][1]
