Welcome to the Runion Name Study which is a part of the One Name Study Project. Congratulations on your Y-DNA results linking you to Benjamin Runyon. I am eager to hear more of what you discover! Let me know if you need any help.
A Y DNA test came through this morning from a 6xg grandson of Benjamin Runions. The Y DNA test verifies our line does descend from Vincent Rongnion and therefore we are related to all of the Runyan/Runyon's of New Jersey and those that migrated south.

On behalf of the Military and War Project Leaders, we are doing a six-month check-in with members.
First, we want to thank you for your past participation in the Military and War Project. We appreciate your desire to honor your ancestors for their service to their countries, or even for your own service, wherever in the world. We hope that your membership has enhanced your WikiTree experience.
Please let me know if you are still active. and if so, in which ways you are currently contributing to the project.
Hi, just a few things to pass along about categories....
When you name an AncestryDNA circle category, please add a space after the comma. I have renamed two of the categories already. See the red ones on this page?
Also, after naming these categories, they are "red" because they are not categories yet. They need a parent category. Please add Category:AncestryDNA Circles as the parent category to your AncestryDNA circle categories.
Just one more thing: the category AncestryDNA circles is a top level category and should be removed from this profile.
Thank you for all you do at WikiTree.

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within the projects which coordinate them is essential.
Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus, whether time period, location, or topic. Read the goals and tasks of the project and join if it is a good fit.
Add the project tag to your Following list to be kept up to date on any activity that occurs for that project.
Can't find what you're looking for? Let me know, and I can make some suggestions! :-)
Great start, were the Member How-Tos pages helpful or did they leave you with questions?
Clicking your green tags shows members who follow that tag. Add tags other family surnames, for locations - US_HISTORY for all states and Interests. The more tags you add the more links to community & research options Information on tags is on page one of the How To pages.
We want to help you learn about the site and the community, hopefully you found the pages and links useful. I have page one bookmarked for reference page

I first started out as a rookie, just working on my immediate family members. But as I found more connections I got better at working on my tree. I think you will enjoy the experience once you get comfortable being here. I know I have!
