She died January 9, 1863 at age 75.^[2]

The John Perkins House Museum is open by appointment during the summer for guided tours. The home is beautifully appointed with many of the Perkins family belongings, including Phebe's lavender and white transfer ware, original beds and various tables, trunks and hatboxes, beautiful handmade textiles and a loom that was handmade by John that could be dismantled and reassembled on schooner so that Phebe could travel with him.

A vacation destination for family member and public alike.
