My Story

Clyde Perkins is a Project Member of the Military and War subprojects Vietnam War, 1776, War of 1812, French and Indian War
Descendant of PGM migrant PGM Abraham Perkins.
Descendant of PGM migrant PGM Stephen Bachiler.
Descendant of PGM migrant PGM John Locke.
Descendant of PGM migrant PGM William French.

My family research interest began with my grandmother's stories. Myrtle Ivy Perkins. This led to typical great experiences, such as visiting family graves or discoveries in old library books. However, the world changed with and other online sources. As these sources evolved, field trips became less necessary.

Wikitree brings the opportunity to create a lasting legacy family tree open to the discoveries and corrections of other researchers.

For me, Wikitree's most important attractions are:

  1. Sourcing Requirement (data discipline)
  2. One Tree, non-duplication of people (data discipline)
  3. DNA source backup opportunities (new technology)
  4. Collaboration (more minds create a better product)

Welcome to the Vietnam War Project.

I have awarded you the Military and War project badge as it is the umbrella project for all the wars and the Vietnam War Project does not have a badge of its own.

Hello Clyde

You and Traci will doubtless be delighted to know that I have today (Sunday 13th) chased up your badges and they should be with you in the next few days. (Unfortunately, I am not able to award badges; only Leaders can - so I have to 'send off' for them LOL)

Your Perkins Name Study looks excellent. I cannot really add any suggestions to it!

Hello Clyde

Please remove the categories 'One Name Studies' and 'DNA Projects' from your profile, as they are top level categories and should not have person-profiles added.
