Frederick Perkins was born on 2 Sep 1780, the fourth child of John Perkins and Amelia (Moseley) perils. He was baptised on 2 Sep 1780 at St Swithin Stone, London [1]
His father John, was a part owner of Barclay Perkins & Company, which owned the Anchor Brewery in Southwark in the early 1800's. This was the largest brewery in the world at the time, and both Frederick and his brother Henry worked in the brewing industry.
When their father John died in 1812, they both must have inherited significant parts of the Company. They would have worked in senior positions, but it is unclear what role each of them took.
On 12 Nov 1801, Frederick married Susanna Sanders at St Mary's, Lambeth, Surrey, England. Henry and Susanna had eleven children:
In 1829, Frederick followed his brother Henry in becoming Master of the Company of Brewers (Brewing Trade organisation). [2].
Henry died in 10 Oct 1860 at Chipstead Place, Kent, England[3]
