Biography
Hampton Perkins is a part of US Black heritage.
Hampton was born in 1880. He was the son of Ellen Sloan.
Ham married Shelby Hamilton on 5 November 1914 in Wytheville, Wythe, Virginia.[1] In the 1920 census Hampton (age 32), Wagon Driver, was the married head of household in Wytheville, Wythe, Virginia.[2] In the 1930 census Hampton (age 42), Janitor, was the married head of household in Wytheville, Wythe, Virginia, United States.[3] In the 1940 census Hampton (age 54), Janitor, was the married head of household in Wytheville, Wythe, Virginia.[4] Hampton registered for the "old man's draft" in 1942 in Wythe, Virginia, United States.[5] In the 1950 census Hampton (age 65) was the married head of household in Wytheville, Wythe, Virginia, United States.[6]
Hampton died in 1951. He was buried in Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Wythe County, Virginia, United States.[7]
