She married 2) William Thomas Johnston on Dec. 16, 1914 at the Presbyterian Church in Wellington, New South Wales.
Maria died on Oct. 7, 1933 and was buried with William in the Rookwood Necropolis at Rookwood, Cumberland Council, New South Wales.

A quiet wedding was celebrated at the Presbyterian Church, Wellington, on Wednesday, when the Rev. H. R. Grassick united in matrimony Mr. Johnson, of Trangie, and Mrs. Greentree, of Dubbo. The bride was given away by her son. The honeymoon is being spent in Tasmania.
