Biography

Mary Perkins, daughter of Isaac, was baptized 16 September 1621 in Hillmorton, Warwickskire.[1][2]

She was the wife of Henry Green. They either married in Ipswich or Hampton, New Hampshire - no record has been found. They had children.

Mary died on 26 April 1690 in Hampton, New Hampshire.[3]

Research Notes

Isaac Perkins and his wife Alice were in Ipswich by 1637, where Isaac died in 1639. He is believed by many to be the Isaac Perkins who was born in Hillmorton, Warwickshire, England and the son of Thomas and Alice (Kebble) Perkins of HIllmorton. This Isaac had two wives both named Alice. The baptisms for 10 children are found in the Hillmorton parish records including Isaac, bapt. 1611/12 and Mary, bap. 1621. There is no baptismal record for a son named Abraham. There is no document which directly links the Isaac in Ipswich with the Isaac in Hillmorton.

Abraham and Isaac are said to be the sons of Isaac Perkins who died in Ipswich in 1639. This Isaac had a daughter named Mary born in 1621 in England. This is the Mary who is the likely candidate for Henry Green's wife.

A relationship between Henry Green and Abraham Perkins seems to be likely. Abraham Perkins had a daughter Mary who married Giles Fifield. Giles Fifield, son in law of Abraham Perkins of Hampton, called Henry Green Uncle, and Isaac Perkins, son of Abraham, called Mary Green his cousin. The relationship between Henry Green and the Perkins family is believed to be a marriage between Henry and Abraham's sister Mary Perkins.(Records and files of the Quarterly Court, 1660 court case involving Mary Green)(New England Marriages Prior to 1700)

I don't know why Mary Perkins was removed from father Isaac Perkins. The change of fathers does not correspond with the biographies on either profile.
