Oliver Perkins was born on June 14, 1735 in North Kingstown (now Exeter), Kings County, Rhode Island,[1] His parents were Newman Perkins and Mehitable Godfrey.
He married Ruth Wilcox
Together they had 9 children:
He died on March 22, 1798, in Sterling City, Windham County, Connecticut, USA.[2] He is buried in Sterling, Connecticut in Riverside Cemetery.[3]
His estate was probated on April 3, 1798.[4] His Will dated December 26, 1797, mentions his wife, Ruth. His sons, Amos, Elisha, Ransom, Oliver, Caleb, and Newman. It also mentions his daughters Ruth Colvin, Mary, and Susannah. Asa Montgomery and Martha Montgomery witnessed the Will of Oliver. They are the father and mother of Ransom's wife Huldah. Asa's wife Martha is Oliver's first cousin.
