He was living with his parents and siblings in Perrysburg, Cattaraugus county, New York in 1900 and 1910.[2][3]
He died in 1917 and was buried in Versailles cemetery in Versailles, Cattaraugus, New York.[4] His body had been found by the train tracks at Sheridan, Chautauqua, New York on September 16, 1917.[5] The initial conclusion was that he was struck by the train; however, later it was believed that he had been robbed and murdered and placed by the tracks to cover up the murder.[6]
