Biography
John was born in 1928 and passed way in 2013. He is the son of Robert Perrott and Dorothy Tagert.
ex-Cadbury's MD dies in PE
PROMINENT business personality and former Cadbury's managing director John Rees Perrott died at the weekend.
His daughter, Gwyneth Perrott, said yesterday her father died on Saturday after a sudden illness. He would have turned 85 on Thursday. She described him as a "third-generation Port Elizabethan" who was born in Haford, a house on the corner of First Avenue and Heugh Road in Walmer. "His grandfather had a road named after him in Humerail -- Perrott Ave - and his father was a doctor who introduced radiography into the area." Perrott was a keen sportsman who played hockey and tennis for many years, she said. "He was also a member of Round Table No 8, the Historical Society and the PE Club." Perrott is survived by his children Gwyneth, Susan and Rob. His funeral will be held at St. John's Anglican Church in Walmer at 11am on Friday.
