Biography

Humphrey Perrott was the son of William Perrott of Wollaston Hall in the parish of Old Swinford, Worcestershire, and his wife, Ann Rudyerd. He had a brother, John (possibly the John Perrett baptised at Halesowen, 11 Mar 1563/4.) later of Overly, Staffs., whose first wife was Martha, daughter and coheiress of Henry James of Forfield Court, Belbroughton, and sister to Humphrey's wife, Elizabeth. [1]

Humphrey Perrott of Wollaston was admitted as a student to the Inner Temple on 29 April 1583. Pledges: Jo. Persehouse, Richard Edgecombe. [2] (N.B. John Pershouse married Humphrey's sister, Margaret [1])

Marriage

Humffrey Parrot = Elizabeth James. Marriage 11 Apr. 1586, Belbroughton, Worcestershire, England. [3]

In the 16th century a 'manor or capital messuage' called Fairfield Court belonged to Henry James, who left four daughters—Elizabeth wife of Humphrey Perrott, Dorothy wife of Henry Greswolde, Martha wife of John Perrott, and Anne. It was agreed in 1596 that the capital messuage should belong to Humphrey Perrott and Elizabeth, and the former was still holding it in 1610. [4]

'Humffrey Perrott, Gent.' was buried at Belbroughton, 27 Aug 1632. [5]
