Arthur Edward Perry was born in 1889 in Mildura, Victoria, Australia. He was the son of James Perry and Maria Pink. [1]

He married Ruby Gladys Gannaway in 1910. [2]

Arthur enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force, embarking from Melbourne on 28 Jul 1916 on HMAT Themistocles A32. He was serving with the 5th Australian Infantry Battalion when he was killed in action in Belgium on 20 Sep 1917. He has no known grave, and is commemorated at the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, Flanders, Belgium.
