At age 23 she immigrated to Australia, sailing on 14 Jan 1871 on board the Bengal from Plymouth. She was listed as an Irish adult and occupation as domestic servant. The Bengal arrived in Port Phillip Bay on 10 April 1871.
Hannah married Thomas William Kermode, a miner, in Ballarat, Victoria on 30 April 1872. They subsequently moved to the goldfields at Gympie, Queensland in 1873, which is where their two children were born.
She married Thomas William Kermode with whom she had at least 2 children, residing in Gympie, Queensland. She remarried to James Gallagher in June 1877 in Queensland (details and basis unclear - would have required divorce from first husband Thomas).
She passed away in January 1936 at Herne Bay, Auckland, New Zealand.
