Biography

Birth

Samuel was born in Sherborn on October 2, 1708, the son of Samuel & Joanna {Lovett} Perry.[1]

Marriage and Children

He married Ruth Leland on April 9, 1735 in Sherborn, MA.[2] They removed to Natick soon afterwards, as their first (?) child Abel was born there in 1736.

They had 9 known children. The births of Abel(b. 1736), Eleazer (b. 1750), Ruth (b. 1744) , Eleazer (b. 1750), and Ichabod (b. January 1756) were recorded in Natick vital records, but the births of Sarah, Mary 'Molly', Samuel Perry III, Asa, and Miriam could not be found in the vital records of either Natick or Sherborn.

Death

Samuel died in Natick on October 10, 1755[3], (not in 1775 as previously reported.) His burial site is not yet known. One suggestion is either "Plain Burial Ground" or "Sherborn Center Cemetery" in Sherborn; however, no confirmation.[4]

It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Samuel by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Samuel:
