Biography
Matthew Perry married Phebe Collings Nov. 1, 1824 in Clark County, Indiana. He was the father of several children, including Andrew and Zebulon.
Records show that Matthew was born in 1799 in Indiana territory. Besides Edward Perry, there were three other Perry men in the area based on the 1810 census: Franklin Perry, William Perry and Montgomery Perry. There is no primary evidence at this time which proves who Matthew's father is.
