Biography
Alma E. Parry was born in Norman Township, Dent County, Missouri on January 8, 1876. She was the daughter of Carolina E. Hale and John A. Parry.
1900 Census - Meremec Township, Phelps Co., MO In the 1900 census for Meremec Township, Phelps County, Missouri, Alma Parry age 24, is shown living in the household of her parents, John A. Parry age 45 and wife of 25 years, Caroline Parry age 45. Also shown living in the household was Alma's siblings, Fredrick Parry age 22, Lucy Parry age 18, Bertha Parry age 14, Blanche Parry age 11, Sadie Parry age 9, and Johnie Parry age 6.[1]
Alma Parry married John Fredrick Watkins on January 31, 1906.[2]
Alma and John Watkins lived near Hawkins Bank in Phelps County, Missouri before her 7 month stay in Knox Nursing Home in Salem, Dent County, Missouri, where she passed away at age 70, from a cerebral hemmorage at 2:45 a.m. on December 26, 1952.[3] She was buried on December 28, 1952 in Carty Cemetery on Rt. 2 in Salem, Dent County, Missouri.[4]
