Borger News Herald - April 25, 1977
Mrs. Ewell P. Savage, 73, of 319 E. Second, Phillips, died at 11:15 p.m. Sunday in Groom Memorial Hospital.
Services are pending with Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Savage was a member of the Gardner Street Church of Christ and had been a resident of Phillips for 43 years.
Survivors include her husband, Martin of the home; one son, LeRoy of Amarillo; two daughters, Mrs. B.T. Scott of Bartlesville, Okla., and Mrs. Harold Hooper of Stinnett; five sisters, Mrs. C.C. White of Gainesville, Mrs. F.R. Elmore of Amarillo; Mrs. Sam White and Mrs. Guy Chivers, both of Phillips, and Mrs. Doyle Fogle of Stinnett; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services for Mrs. Ewell P. Savage, 73, of 319 E. Second, Phillips, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Gardner Street Church of Christ with Doyle Wells, minister of the Church of Christ in Wichita, Kan. officiating, assisted by Tom Harguess, minister of Gardner Street Church of Christ.
Interment will be in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Savage died Sunday in Groom. She was a member of the Gardner Street Church of Christ and had been a resident of Phillips for 43 years.
Survivors include her husband, one son, two daughters, five sisters, 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be C.O. Parker, John Hinds, Merle Beaver, Troy Mullens, Gene Sions, and M.L. Billington.
Honorary pallbearers will be C.M. Herrington, Roy Turner, Glen Wells, Clarence McGehee, Gene Sable, Pat Sable, Paul Sable, Paul Williamson, Joe Ray, James R. Phelps, Connie Nicholson, L.J. Wells, and Orvel Malone. [1]
