September 12, 1801 - April 1806 - Benoni was a juror.

January 23, 1808 - Benoni sold all possessions, including four feather beds, dishes, tools, etc.

"The sale of four feather beds in 1808 points to the fact Benoni had somewhat of a family at some point in time. The marriage of Polly and Elizabeth Perryman several years prior to this event might explain this sale if they were his daughters. John Perryman who was married in 1810 may have been a son. Benoni bought land in Roane County, a month after selling his possessions, but apparently continued to live in Jefferson County until 1812. In 1814 Benoni, John, Jethrew, and Joshua Perryman appeared in the Roane County records and a Francina Perryman was married there in 1814. All of which tend to support the speculation that Benoni had a large family prior to his second marriage." Comment from Ed Luce.
