Anna was born in 1875. She was the daughter of Per Andersson and Johanna Nilsdotter. She passed away in 1965. Anna emigrated to the United States on March 9, 1893 at the age of 18. She came to Putnam County, Illinois and worked for the Franceway family in Granville. She assisted Mrs. Franceway in household duties. Her middle name was in honor of her grandmother Helena Olsdotter. When Anna emigrated to America she traveled with Kjersti Nilsdotter who had been in Abbeka to visit her family and was returning to Putnam County where she lived and worked. (Kjersti was known as Carrie and on February 12, 1897 she married Olaf Valfore (sp?) and they farmed in Putnam County. When they retired they lived in Granville. Carrie was a sister of Anna, the mother of Karl Larson.) On March 12, 1897 Anna Helena married Nels Olson, the son of Ola Jonsson and Elna Martinsdotter, who lived in Kempinge, Sweden. They were married at Hennipen, Illinois. He had emigrated to America in 1889 at the age of 20. He was born on December 10, 1868. Anna suffered many years with crippling arthritis. Anna and Nels are buried in the Larson Family Lot in the Hennepin Cemetery in Hennepin, Illinois.
