Per Mattsson married Anna Persdotter 9 November 1828. At the time they were both serving in Gränby.[1] According to the household records Anna Persdotter was born in Munktorp 13 March 1803.[2] Per and Anna were crofters in several places, among others at Kyrkbacken. They had a son, Per Eric.[3][4][5]
The last place the family is together is in Harnesta about 1850 - this was when their son moved out and married.[6] Per and Anna moved to Tistersta in 1851. Here Anna had an affair with their hired hand, Per Gustaf Persson (born in 1825). She was fined for adultery in 1852, divorced from Per Mattsson and prohibited from marrying again as long as he was alive and unmarried. Anna moved to Köping town and modernized her surname to Pettersson.[7] Per Gustaf Persson came to live at the same address.[8] It is remarked in the household record that they lived together.[9]
Anna Pettersson, the divorced wife of Per Mattsson, died from a stomach disease in Munktorp 4 May 1880. She was church registered in Köping in the special list of people not registered for tax in Köping.[10][11]
Research note
Pehr Gustaf was born 16 May 1825 to unwed Greta Orrqvist in Boda.[12] Greta was the daughter of soldier Gustaf Orrqvist in Orrtorp.[13][14]
Per Gustaf sometimes went by the name Orrqvist and sometimes by the name Persson.[15] He lived with Anna Pettersson in Köping until his death from tuberculosis and alcoholism 8 March 1863.[16]
